Strategy Partner Packages
Retained strategic advisory for ambitious SMEs — direction, planning,
commercial decision support, and senior leadership challenge, delivered by
experienced practitioners at a fraction of the cost of a senior in-house hire
The Common Scenario
For many small and medium businesses, strategy is something that happens once and then drifts.
A plan gets written, perhaps at the start of the year, perhaps when there is a period of downturn, and then operational pressure takes over. Leadership teams often make major commercial decisions without an experienced perspective. Priorities multiply, focus erodes, risks are an afterthought, and the gap between ambition and execution quietly widens.
Founders and managing directors carry the weight of every major decision alone, sometimes without an ear to listen and challenge their thinking before commitments are made.
A full-time senior strategic hire — a Strategy Director, Commercial Director, or Head of Strategy — is a £90,000 to £120,000 annual commitment in salary alone, before recruitment costs, employer contributions, and management overhead.
For an SME, that is a level of investment that often cannot be justified, but without the skills, it leaves the leadership team to navigate the most important decisions in the business with unnecessary risk.
The Solution is Experienced Strategic Support for SMEs
The Corvanta Strategic Advisor service provides you with ongoing access to senior-level strategic skills without the full-time overhead, structured around a clear monthly rhythm. We share accountability to deliver your strategy.
Your significant decisions get tested by an experienced external voice, so you have confidence that all possible outcomes have been considered with sound reasoning.
Your leadership team gains the kind of structured external challenge that larger organisations build in through boards and executive committees — at a fraction of the cost of bringing that capability in-house.

Strategy Support Packages
All packages start on 3 month commitments
We offer services ranging from lite touch guidance, to indepth direction. The tiers are designed for a different level of strategic support need. Our costs are benchmarked against the full cost of an equivalent in-house senior strategic hire.
All options run on a minimum 3-month commitment, with a rolling monthly arrangement thereafter.
Pricing is exclusive of VAT. Clients who contract for both a Strategic Advisory service and a Marketing Support service receive a discount.
The equivalent annual cost of a single senior in-house strategic hire — Strategy Director,
Commercial Director, or Head of Strategy, is £90,000 to £120,000 in salary alone, before recruitment fees, employer's National Insurance, pension contributions, and management overhead.
We provide specialist strategy expertise at a fraction of that cost — with no fixed employment commitment, no notice period beyond 30 days, and no loss of momentum
on a departure.
Core - What this delivers for you
A business in this package moves from reactive decision-making to a structured monthly rhythm of
strategic review and priority management. You gain a senior strategic adviser without the salary, recruitment cost, or management overhead of an in-house hire — at a fraction of the equivalent
employment cost.
Your strategy remains visible and measurable rather than written and forgotten. Major commercial decisions are tested with an experienced external voice. Your leadership team retains focus on running the business with a trusted external perspective on the direction it is moving in.
Growth - What this delivers for you
This package gives growing businesses the strategic infrastructure they need but often don't have:
a clear, prioritised strategy reviewed twice a month; structured competitor intelligence; formal oversight of risks and assumptions; and a quarterly written performance review that makes progress
visible and improvable. The combination of more frequent advisory contact and broader written output means your strategy becomes a managed asset rather than a static document. You understand where you stand in your market, how your assumptions are holding up, and where the leadership team needs to focus next.
Partner - What this delivers for you
A business in this package gains the full benefit of an embedded senior strategic function without the
cost, commitment, or risk of a permanent hire. Your strategy is actively managed, reported on at board-grade standard, and reviewed annually with structured facilitation by an experienced strategic
adviser.
Your leadership team operates with the kind of governance discipline expected of a much larger
organisation. Major commercial decisions are tested with an experienced senior voice on demand.
Enterprise - What this delivers for you
An Enterprise engagement is designed for organisations at a point of significant growth, transition, or complexity — where standard packages cannot fully meet the requirements. This may include businesses scaling into new markets, organisations preparing for significant investment, sale, or acquisition. You may want fully integrated strategic and marketing support from a single trusted partner. Every Enterprise engagement is scoped individually to ensure the hours, deliverables, and commercial terms are right for the specific situation.
